I still remember my first visit to Denver Zoo when I was only three years old, with my mom and grandparents. I truly experienced a first back then: being around hundreds of exotic animals from around the world. It was the beginning of a lifelong love for animals.

I came to visit Denver Zoo more frequently after graduating from high school. With each visit, I felt like I was developing a spiritual friendship with all the animals I loved. It’s like they speak to me on a subconscious level. I have always loved the poison-dart frogs. My eyes revel in the beauty of their colors—they are like living jewels amongst the streams and moss!

I am keeping the Zoo, and all the animals in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time and look forward to more visits soon!
